Online Submissions
Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Author Guidelines
Please send submissions and inquiries to the following e-mail address: budhi@ateneo.edu.
We ask that you refrain from submitting your essay to other publications while it is undergoing review by Budhi. Please allow about four months for the review process.
We ask that you also submit a duly accomplished Submission Agreement form, available for download here.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- Articles should be about 6,000 to 10,000 words long, including notes and references. The manuscript should include an abstract of no more than 200 words.
- Manuscripts should be submitted as MS Word files in .doc format, double-spaced. Citations should follow the notes and bibliography system (not the author-date system) of The Chicago Manual of Style.
- Manuscripts should be prepared for blind review. The article itself should contain no reference to the author’s identity. Budhi subscribes to a double blind review process, in which both author and reviewer remain anonymous to each other.
